                                     "Demi"

Demi is our oldest feline resident. She came to the Fauquier SPCA as an owner surrender in early August of 2011.  Although her family had originally found her, they just could not keep her and as much as they hated to give her up, they had no choice.

Demi has just a tint of orange in her brown tabby coat and beautiful gold green eyes. When she arrived she was just average size but has blossomed into a pleasingly plump love bug.

When the staff arrive in the mornings to clean, Demi is very anxious to tell them all about the antics of the other cats the previous night! She is a very nice cat and is way overdue for a good home. Please help find a home for our girl.

              Meet Our Photographer

Susan Carter donates her time, skills and equipment every week at our shelter and takes the absolute best animal photographs we have ever seen!

Judging by all the positive comments we have received regarding the photographs of our resident animals on our website, we think all our supporters are as appreciative of our new professional photographer as we are!

"Koda"

We just wanted to thank everyone at the Fauquier SPCA for rescuing our silly

boy Koda (previously named Harley). He is just a wonderful dog and fit into

our home in about 30 seconds, jumping on the couch the moment we walked in

the door. We never thought our home would be complete again after our

beloved Millie was hit by a car last April, but Koda sure knows how to mend

a broken heart by just being his goofy, loving self.

We have started his agility training, and after only three training sessions
he managed to beat Millie's very impressive high jump record. He is very brave, running through the tunnel and chute like a pro the very first day he was introduced to them. Sometimes when we let him into the yard to run around, we see him jumping the hurdles all by himself!

He is like the annoying little brother to Chubbs (our older pug), but is also the first to step up and protect him from the dogs who are too rough for an elderly guy to play with.

He is truly the sweetest, most joyous, most incredible puppy we could have asked for, and we cannot thank you enough for giving us the opportunity to open our hearts and home again to the most wonderful dog on earth.
