Shelter Feeding Program

We have reached a crisis point in our shelter feeding program as we no longer have the funds to support it!
Previously, the Fauquier SPCA had to use donated food to feed all the animals in the shelter. This caused many problems to their digestive systems as we had to use whatever we were given, therefore their diet changed on a daily basis and their health suffered accordingly!
Several years ago, we changed to a shelter feeding program where Hills Science Diet products are provided FREE for ALL of the animals housed at the shelter. The difference to their health and happiness has been enormous!
BUT...
We do have to pay shipping on all the Hills Science Diet products we order. On average, this costs approximately $150 per week - $150 we just don't have. Originally, we did have generous sponsors who supported this program but currently have NONE! We are unable to continue to provide this food for our deserving pets without your help.
Another benefit to the program is that the shelter is provided with free 5lb bags of food to give to all our adopters. This ensures that when a new pet has to face all the changes that come with a new home, at least their diet stays consistent. It also encourages our adopters to keep their new pet on a nutritional and healthy feeding program - and these are all shipped free of charge!
