The shelter is in need of a Humane Educator to give presentations to Fauquier schools and other children's groups.
This volunteer position requires familiarity with animals (training on current humane issues will be provided). The programs are already in place and are age appropriate for children of all grades.
The hours are very flexible, with more groups requiring presentations during the summer break. If you are an educator, or retired educator with a few hours to spare, enjoy working with children and animals and would like to help the Fauquier SPCA, please contact Caroline Folker at cfolker@fauquierspca.com or 540 788-9000 x 207
* Court Ordered Community Service
If you have been required to perform court ordered community service, you may work some or all of these hours at the Fauquier SPCA.
The hours available are:
Monday to Saturday 7:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Sundays 8:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
(latecomers will not be allowed to work for that day)
Must be 18 years or older.
Should not be allergic to animals and should wear old clothes.
MUST call the day before working first day to be issued a time card and advised which manager to report to.
