Animal Control Center
The Fauquier Animal Control Intake building houses all animals at the shelter that are not yet available, quarantined or under court proceedings. This helps to free the original shelter building space to house pets available for adoption.
After much fundraising and hard work, the new Fauquier Animal Control Center is now open. Due to the generosity of the public donating new beds for our shelter dogs, we have been able to move the old beds into the new building. We intend to do the same thing with the cat cages, which will mean purchasing new cages for our cats in the shelter awaiting adoption.
We also are still in need of many supplies for the new building and will be asking for donations to help us purchase items such as new water buckets for the dogs and other pet supplies. Please click on any of the pictures on this page to link directly to the websites where you can purchase online the items we most desperately need. You can then have the items shipped directly to the shelter, or to your home.
